Christopher Theofanidis

The Dallas Festival of Modern Music would like to congratulate Dallas born composer Christopher Theofanidis on the world premiere of his Cello Concerto by Nina Kotova and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. This is new music that even the most conservative audiences can get behind, however, it is still music that holds a true and firm connection with high artistry.

Music Director Jaap van Zweden and the DSO hit another one out of the park with Mahler's First Symphony. The baseball analogy continued with sports-worthy cheering by an appreciative audience.

For more great music like Theofanidis', plan your visit to the Dallas Festival of Modern Music, November 5-9, 2009.
